Majes Valley itinerary
- We depart from the city of Arequipa to the Majes Valley at 5:00 AM.
- Our first visit will be the Petrographs of Toro Muerto, where we will find a fabulous collection of petroglyphs, volcanic rock blocks scattered in a number of around 500 pieces. Zoomorphic figures such as birds, mammals, reptiles, etc., can be seen, made during the era of the Wari Culture.
- Afterwards we will visit the Dinosaur Footprints of Querulpa. To get there, we will have an approximately 20‑minute uphill walk up a hill. On the way we can admire replicas of extinct dinosaurs made of fiber, in which we will take photographs.
- We will go to the Chancharay spa.
- We will enjoy a delicious lunch at a restaurant in Corire. We will have many options, but it is essential to try shrimp‑based dishes, as they are fresh and caught in the nearby Majes River.
- To finish, we will visit a Pisco winery where they will explain the process of making wine and pisco. It is recommended to buy some bottles of Pisco and Wine for the original flavor we can obtain from this drink in this area of Peru.
- We will return to the city of Arequipa.
