Colca Canyon Trekking, Arequipa | 2 Days / 1 Night

Itinerary Trekking Canyon del Colca

Primer día:

• 3:00 to 3:30 Pickup del agreed place.
• We start the trip heading al Canyon del Colca, a trip that will last about 3 hours, until reaching the town of Chivay at 06:30 a.m., where we will have our breakfast.
• Later we will move towards the viewpoint “Cruz del Cóndor”. Here we will have an approximate time of 40 minutes to be able to visit it and appreciate the famous flight of the condor and the depth of the canyon that has more than 3,400 m.
• After this visit, we head to Pampas de San Miguel located in the town of Cabanaconde. From this point we will start the hike. We will descend the canyon walking for 3 and a half hours. We will arrive at the community of San Juan de Chuccho to have lunch. After the lunch, we will continue the march, this time, to visit the towns of Malata and Cosñirhua.
• We start a hike of 3 more hours and at 5:00 pm we will arrive at the Oasis de Sangalle, a peaceful and charming place where we will enjoy its pools, surrounded by palm trees and its lodge.
• Night en bungalow de adobe typical of the area.

Segundo día:

• At 04:30 a.m. we start the hike again, this time ascending for 3 hours de Sangalle al Pueblo de Cabanaconde.
• Breakfast en the village of Cabanaconde to then take the transport that will take us back towards the town of Chivay. During the journey we will make a tourist stop at a viewpoint de Antahuilque and Choquetico to appreciate the tombs and the pre-Inca andenería, likewise we will make stops in the town of Yanque and Maca to appreciate their churches.
• At approximately 12:00 we will head to the thermal waters de Chacapi.
• Buffet lunch en restaurant de Chivay. (Not included)
• On return to the city of Arequipa we will make a stop at the viewpoint de the volcanoes that is located at 4,900 msnm where we will appreciate the Chila range, the Ampato volcano, Sabancaya and Hualca Hualca.
• The next stop will be en the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve where we will observe the flora and fauna of this beautiful place to then arrive at the city of Arequipa from 5:00 to 6:00 pm approx.
• Return to the city of Arequipa.
