Humantay Lagoon Trekking Itinerary
- We will start the day early in the morning with a pickup at the hotel in Cusco. We will travel by vehicle, passing through the towns of Izcuchaca and Limatambo, to join the Salkantay route and reach a point where we will begin the trek.
- We will walk 1 km to reach the Soraypampa camp at 3,900 m altitude, where we will have breakfast. Then, we will start the ascent trek for 1.5 hours until we reach Humantay Lagoon, which is at 4,100 m altitude.
- Here we will be able to see the color variations, depending on the perspective offered by our location, as well as the background glacier that feeds the lagoon, all of this if the weather permits.
- After taking photographs and resting from the hike at that altitude, we will descend back to the camp where we will have lunch. Then, we will walk to our vehicle to return to the historic center of Cusco, where our tour ends.
